New Altadena Facility Brings Vital Behavioral Health Care Services to Los Angeles County
The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) and the Los Angeles Centers for Alcohol & Drug Abuse (L.A. CADA) expanded substance use disorder (SUD) residential treatment services at the Altadena Project in Los Angeles County to treat SUDs and co-occurring mental health needs.
California and Aspiranet Break Ground on New Behavioral Health Facility
On October 24, 2024, the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) and Aspiranet broke ground on a new behavioral health facility in Turlock, California. The Hope Forward Campus will provide critical mental health and substance use disorder (SUD) treatment for children and youth in the Central Valley. Aspiranet partnered with Stanislaus, Merced, and San Joaquin counties to develop this state-of-the-art facility projected to serve more than 1,600 individuals annually.
California and John Wesley County Hospital Break Ground on Skid Row Substance Use Disorder Treatment Facility
The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) and JWCH Institute (John Wesley County Hospital) today broke ground on an adult residential substance use disorder (SUD) treatment facility and wellness center in the Skid Row area of Los Angeles. This new campus will provide critical mental health and SUD treatment services to unhoused adults with SUD and individuals experiencing mental health issues.
California and Janus of Santa Cruz Break Ground on New Substance Use Treatment Facility
The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) and Janus of Santa Cruz broke ground on a new facility that will address critical gaps in mental health and substance use disorder (SUD) treatment. The facility will provide outpatient treatment for SUD and perinatal and postpartum residential care for women with SUDs and their children up to age 12.
